Watch Out, World – Napoli Is Really, Really Good

Serie A leaders Napoli are on a hot streak, winning every game since September 3rd, the last nine matches in a row, by a combined score of 29-8.

After solidifying their spot in the Champions League knockout stages with a 4-2 win over Ajax today, Napoli looks damn near unstoppable in any league in Europe.

Their dominance is somewhat surprising after losing two of their best players in Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne earlier this year. But smart management found a $10 million diamond in the rough with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whose many comparisons to a young Messi are warranted.

But it’s more than just one player – head coach Luciano Spalletti has The Baby Blues humming on all cylinders like a well-oiled, goal-scoring machine.

Having already clinched, Napoli might tone it down in the next couple of UCL matches. Then again, the Partenopians may not know any speed lower than full.

Napoli will take on Bologna in Serie A on Sunday before playing Rangers next Wednesday in the Champions League.
