Messi With the Clean Finish – Top 5 Goals of the Weekend

As the 2022 World Cup nears, it’s getting harder and harder to choose the five best goals of the weekend.

The stars shone all across Europe this weekend, banging back golazos from the sunny coasts of Spain to the dark forests of Germany.

Here are the top goals from Bundesliga, LaLiga, Ligue 1, Premier League, and Serie A this past weekend.

5 – Gio Reyna – Borussia Dortmund

USMNT star Gio Reyna is back in form, right on time, curling the finish past the keeper and through his defender. Dortmund destroyed VfB Stuttgart 5-0.

4 – Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

Though teammate Erling Haaland had a golazo of his own, KDB makes the list by smashing this one in from outside the box. City made short work of Brighton 3-1.

3 – Federico Valverde – Real Madrid

Real Madrid still hasn’t lost a single game since the start of the 2022-2023 season across all competitions, with Fede Valverde contributing more than his fair share of top-shelf back netters. Los Blancos remains unbeaten, defeating Sevilla 3-1.

2 – Victor Osimhen – Napoli

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen snagged his fourth Serie A goal of the season, the crucial Derby del Sole winner over Roma in Rome. Napoli, who also haven’t lost in 2022-2023, remained unbeaten across all competitions, defeating Roma 1-0.

1 – Messi – PSG

Ligue 1 had more than their fair share of net burners this weekend, but Messi’s playful return to Barca form has to take the cake. PSG defeated Ajaccio 3-0 with Mbappe scoring two goals from two Messi assists and Messi scoring one goal from a Mbappe assist.
