Ronaldo Joins 700 Club As Antony Nets Three in a Row for Man U

GOAT candidate Cristiano Ronaldo is making his second stint at Old Trafford count for something with his 700th league goal.

Ronnie netted number 700 for club (817th total for club and country) in a 2-1 come-from-behind Sunday win over Everton after coming off the bench for an injured Anthony Martial.

The goal marks #144 in a Manchester United jersey, with the bulk majority of Ronaldo’s golazos coming for Real Madrid.

Despite the milestone, Ronaldo has been trying to get out of Manchester since June. The aging legend is no longer a starter under Ten Hag for a team competing in the Europa League. Ronaldo was the subject of a torrent of summer transfer rumors, from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid, all of which proved false. There are reports that no Champions League team is interested in the 37-year-old Portuguese striker, even in the upcoming January transfer window. According to ESPN, both Man U is now confident Ronnie will remain in Old Trafford in January.

That’s good news for Red Devils fans – even an Old Ronaldo is better than No Ronaldo.

With Ronaldo as a super sub, Marcus Rashford back in form, and Ajax transfer Antony scoring three goals in his first three Premier League games, Ten Hag is putting together a formidable attack. Antony now has more Premiership goals this season than Mo Salah.
