Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is undergoing a string of bad luck, though Mbappe doubts it’s because of any curse.
Per Fabrizio Romano, Pogba will be out for the next 40-60 days to recover from a right meniscus surgery.
Pogba, once Man U’s most expensive transfer ever, has struggled with injuries over the last year, falling far out of his World Cup form.
With the 2022 World Cup roughly 80 days away, Pogba could be fighting to make France’s November 22 starting 11 against Australia.
Pogba says he is the victim of an alleged extortion attempt perpetrated by his brother and childhood friends seeking $13 million.
As the French police investigate, local reports say the alleged extortionists claim Pogba paid a witch doctor to cast voodoo on Mbappe, Pogba’s French national team teammate. In response to the report, Mbappe has taken Paul Pogba’s side.
Mbappe says Pogba already reached out to him personally to snuff out any possible suspicions.
