Week 2 of the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 is in the book, while LaLiga and Serie A are just beginning.
Despite a bevy of leagues to choose from, this week’s top goals came from the UK, mostly from the Premier League.
Here are the top five goals from another thrilling weekend of European football, starting with Gabriel Jesus defying physics in the name of golazos.
1 – Another Miracle by Jesus
Ex-Man City man Gabriel Jesus is killing it with the Gunners. The Brazilian had two goals and two assists in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Leicester City.
2 – Luis Diaz Saves Liverpool
Surprisingly, Liverpool has yet to win a Premier League game this season. After Darwin Nunez was shown a red card for doing his best Zidane impression against Crystal Palace, sensational goal scorer Luis Diaz saved a point for the Reds, who have (so far) underperformed this season. Liverpool takes on Man U next in a match with hilariously low stakes.
3 – Air Malik Strikes Again
USMNT hopeful Malik Tillman is reserving his seat to Qatar with his second goal in two matches for the Scottish Premiership’s Rangers F.C. Both have been high-flying headers.
4 – Koulibaly Kicks Chelsea Ahead
In easily the most entertaining Premier League game of the year, new Chelsea signing Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring with a wonky volley from (other new signing) Marc Cucurella. The game ended in a 2-2 brawl.
5 – KDB Toe Pokes It To Oblivion
How does a ball even curve so much in such a short space, and with so much power? All this magic and more is contained in the right toe of Belgian midfield magician Kevin De Bruyne, who helped Man City along to a 4-0 thrashing of AFC Bournemouth.
