While Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel battles with Antonio Conte, American goal-scorer Christian Pulisic battles for playing time.
The USMNT striker has seen dwindling minutes under Tuchel despite Chelsea’s starting attack failing to produce goals in the first two games of the season.
With two weeks left in the summer transfer window, many USMNT fans want Captain American out of Chelsea for more playing time before World Cup 2022 in Qatar. ESPN now reports that many of Europe’s top clubs are interested in the American.
The loudest rumors surround Premier League club Newcastle United, who are currently in the market for a successful scorer such as Pulisic.
The report also claims that European giants such as Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan are keeping tabs on the Champions League winner.
There is still a lot to play out here, but with Tuchel still eyeing De Jong and Aubameyang at Barca, the writing might be on the wall for Pulisic at Stamford Bridge.
In Other USMNT Rumors…
Man U, desperate for anyone who’s decent at football, is apparently interested in USMNT and Juve midfielder Weston McKennie after a deal with Adrien Rabiot fell through. (According to living, breathing transfer portal Fabrizio Romano, Rabiot asked for too much money to join the last place team in the Premier League.)
But McKennie isn’t the only USMNT star who might have their career ruined by joining Manchester United – Barcelona defender Sergino Dest is also being linked to Old Trafford, making USMNT fans everywhere say, “Please don’t.”
Are we being too hard on Manchester? Where do you hope Pulisic lands? Sound off below!
