US National Brenden Aaronson is starting off his Premier League career with a bang – or three of them, to be exact.
The American midfielder signed with Premier League club Leeds United over the offseason, alongside American coach Jesse Marsch and fellow USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams.
Aaronson immediately made his impact felt on the new team with a hat trick of assists against Italian Serie B squad Cagliari – watch the third one below.
What a classy touch. After starting the counter from his own 18-yard box, Aaronson carries the ball to midfield before placing a perfect through ball with the outside of his right foot. If Aaronson can keep this type of play up, he’s sure to make an impact in the Premier League and for the USMNT in the upcoming World Cup.
Of course, it is still just a pre-season friendly, even if Aaronson was clearly taking no prisoners.
