It’s been a good week for Americans in Europe.
Daryl Dike earned a move to West Brom while Christian Pulisic netted a stunner against Premier League rival Liverpool. Not to be outdone, USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi scored a $20 million move to FC Augsburg, a bottom-feeding squad in the Bundesliga.
Augsburg is currently just one point ahead of the relegation playoffs and VFB Stuttgard, who is currently 16th in the Bundesliga table. The desperate squad has only mustered four wins this season and will look to plug and play the American striker immediately.
Ricardo Pepi, formerly of FC Dallas in the MLS, had a break-out 2021. After choosing to play for the Red, White, & Blue over Mexico, his international reputation exploded with several key performances for the USMNT.

Pepi has been the subject of trade talks for months now and is making the permanent transfer for a FC Augsburg club record fee. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Pepi, who has so far shown he can handle the pressure of the big stage, is sure to deliver in the high-flying Bundesliga.
